All Dieters Do It!

The other day I discussed holiday success and the effort it will take to stay diet compliant. But the reality is all dieters cheat now and then.
And to be blunt it's actually just part of the weight loss process. We all cheat on our plan from time to time. During the holidays especially though, it's important to get past any of these mistakes and learn from them. The following are some very specific questions you can ask yourself to help you get back on track if you should have a slip:
 
  1. How can I forgive myself? What do I need to do to "let go" of a cheat? Who can I talk to about it?
  2. What exactly did I learn from this experience? Or was the cheat worth it? (Either way keep going forward and get back on track immediately.)
  3. What is it that I need to change specifically about this slip? What kind of game plan can I make to keep this from happening again?
  4. Who can help me or support me?
  5. What other questions do I have to ask about to be successful?
Anthony Robbins, a motivational speaker (and once overweight himself) said, "Quality questions create a quality life. Successful people ask better questions, and as a result they get better answers."
