In her growing years, she was a competitive runner and attended Pepperdine University to run NCAA Division-1 Cross Country and Track. After college, Amy worked in LA's entertainment industry as a producer, actress, and improv performer. A couple years in Hollywood took a toll on her well-being and she began experiencing severe anxiety and panic attacks. A friend had recommended that she try some yoga and meditation, and after just three classes, she could feel an incredible shift start to take place. Amy began to face her fears and courageously opened her heart to new forms of thought, belief, consciousness, perception, and spirituality. This shift triggered her move back to the Bay Area where she re-routed her life in a new direction. Looking for a deeper sense of fulfillment, she dove into the yoga and wellness world. Amy has always been interested in health and well-being and found that the key to balancing her life was connecting the mind, body, and spirit. She discovered that yoga and meditation enabled her to seek and live a holistic lifestyle, achieving a larger sense of inner peace, well-being, and emotional freedom. She believes that Yoga has taught her some of the most valuable lessons in life and has aided in her own transformation. She loves studying holistic health including nutrition, cooking, movement, and a wide range of healing modalities. She believes it is important to take preventative care of ourselves instead of waiting to get sick. Health begins with prevention, and paving the road for longevity. Amy currently teaches yoga full time, creates workshops for enhancing creative expression, leads spiritual meet up groups, and can be seen on your CALMWM DVD!
