Are you Feeling Overwhelmed?

Are there just too many parties with too many challenges ahead?

Holiday events are probably starting to flood your December calendar right? Are you thinking about just saying "Why bother even trying to diet this month?" We hope not! Don't allow yourself to succumb to this human temptation because this might just be guarantee failure especially if you tend to be a 'black and white' type of person.

So, instead try this for a strategy to stay on track:

There are 7 days in a week. You might have 3 or 4 days social events planned in any given week. But the reality is you still have the rest of the week that you can honestly follow your plan. Maybe you won't have high weight losses in this week but at least you will not go backwards and gain weight like the rest of the world is typically doing right now.

Another option along these lines to be selective about what social events you choose to indulge in. Some events might not be all that tempting and others may be overwhelming. Be selective in which ones you might choose to be indulgent in.

You might even consider maintaining your weight as an option this month if weight loss is just not in the cards. That is still success no matter how you look at it. (Consider what has happened in past years with your weight...) could you accept maintenance as a goal for the month of December? Or would even a pound a week for weight loss be a major goal to achieve?

Get regular reality checks regarding your weight on a weekly basis. - Stay accountable with your visit visits with us. The scale will guide you in terms of when you can afford to splurge or moderate better!
