Creamy Funky Monkey Mocha Shake

Refreshing, delicious low-calorie mocha shake from Executive Chef Jeff Huff.

  • 1 cup Decaf Coffee (or coffee extract to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Unflavored Cocoa
  • Stevia (Truvia or Splenda) to taste
  • Dash of Vanilla Extract 35158460
  • Dash of Banana Extract
  • Pinch of Ground Cinnamon
  • Ice as desired
  • 1 scoop of CMWM Chocolate Whey Protein Powder
  • ¼-1/2 tsp* Xanthan gum to thicken if desired

Place ingredients in a blender usually about 2 minutes on high, adding protein powder in at the last few 15 seconds of blending.

Serves one.

*Optional, but this gives it a thicker texture; available at quality health food stores or in many grocery stores in the baking section. Do not use too much or it will make it "gummy."

Reminder to CMWM patients: each vegetable serving equals 5 grams of carbohydrates; each small fruit serving equals 15 grams of carbohydrates. Total carbohydrates for the day should not exceed 45 grams.
