For years it was always thought that exercise was "king" when it came to developing bone density but a new study from the University of Michigan took a closer look at mineral supplementation and exercise in mice, and found some surprising results:

Another Way of Thinking Yourself Thin!

Have you ever heard of FIT, Functional Imagery Training?  Science Daily recently reported how successful this particular method of imagery training could support weight loss efforts.
Are you getting the weight loss results you want? As a patient of CMWM you are supposed to be consuming 800-1000 calories a day on the CMWM program. But, if you eat less than that you run the risk of, guess what, not losing weight. One would think the more calories you cut out, the more weight you will lose, right? Wrong!

A Supplement that May Help with Weight Loss

There are so many supplements that promise weight loss. But which ones really help you to lose weight? Here’s a new supplement that may help support weight loss. The only problem though is, it's just been proven to work with mice right now. Hopefully in time more testing will be done and it will be proven to help with humans and weight loss.
According to one new study with mice that were fed a high-sugar diet, researchers found that consuming camu camu—a fruit native to the Amazon— improved glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity, reduced blood endotoxins and metabolic inflammation. It’s all numerous phytochemicals which may play a role in the fight against obesity and metabolic disease. More studies really are needed to determine if such benefits would extend to humans.
And, the good news according to WebMD, apparently there are still other numerous other health advantages of this fruit besides being helpful to supporting weight loss. Camu camu is a fruit that can potentally help with viral infections including herpes, cold sores, shingles, and the common cold. It is also used for eye conditions including cataracts and glaucoma. Other uses include treatment of asthma, "hardening of the arteries" (atherosclerosis), chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, gum disease (gingivitis), headaches, and osteoarthritis. Some people even consume camu camu to increase energy and maintain healthy gums, eyes, and skin; and as an antioxidant and immune system stimulant.
In the meantime, no matter what, you have to follow your program to get the best results. There's just no magic pill, not yet anyway! -"The best way to predict your health is to create it." You have to do the work.

September is National Recovery Month - 2018

September is National Recovery Month. There is no question that the opioid addiction is epidemic right now, however I really believe that compulsive eating and numerous other forms of stress eating/emotional eating are just as serious, often just overlooked, and yet should be part of National Recovery Month too. Food can shackle a person just as much as a drug or alcoholic drink can.
