FDA Approves New Treatment for Diabetes

FDA last Friday approved a new form of anti- diabetes medicine insulin that can be taken as inhalation. The medicine (brand name Afrezza) is expected to help patients affected by diabetes control their blood sugar levels. It is claimed to be a fast-acting form of insulin. Given that insulin could only be given through injections, an easy form of the medicine was long awaited.

Rarely did any diseases affect the world on such a large scale as did obesity. Young generation has become especially more affected the world over as they indulged more in things like fast foods, sweetened beverages and other fattening stuff.

That physical activity helps reduce weight and maintain health is known to everybody. Doing exercise is generally considered to be a rather 'formal' that you achieve by running on a jogging track or to going to a gym for treadmill. Although exercising in a formal way is the most desirable way of doing it and it is best to include exercise as a priority item in your daily schedule, you can still manage to keep yourself active even when you are at work.

Throughout history, stigma of the disease has brought more sufferings to people than the disease itself. Devastating diseases like TB, leprosy, plague and in recent times HIV are the bitter examples.
